The Face Behind the Camera

Hi, I’m Amber Lucas—so glad you’re here! I have been happily married to my husband, Brooks, for three years, and we are currently preparing to welcome our first baby this February. In addition to being a proud wife and mom-to-be, I’m also a devoted dog mom to our sweet Cavapoo, Maylie.

I graduated in 2022 from Southwest Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and currently serve as a kindergarten and first-grade looping teacher at Carl Junction K–1. Working with young children has deepened my love for creativity, patience, and capturing meaningful moments—qualities that carry over into my work as a photographer.

My passion for photography began during my time at SBU while working at Country Lace Boutique (now 88Threads Clothing Co.), where I had the opportunity to photograph models and products and create engaging marketing content. This experience allowed my love for photography to grow and ultimately led me to create Radiant Photography by Amber.

Mission

At Radiant Photography, my mission is to capture the true, radiant beauty found in every individual and to preserve life’s most meaningful moments. I believe there is always something worth celebrating and being thankful for, and I strive to create a relaxed, joyful experience for each client to capture those moments. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, confident, and at ease in front of the camera, allowing your genuine personality and connections to shine through. No matter the milestone or special season of life being celebrated, I aim to create images that reflect your story in an authentic and beautiful way.

Each session is designed to create timeless images you can cherish for years to come. Above all, my greater mission is to reflect Christ’s love and light through my work and to serve others with excellence, kindness, and joy.
